Coaching is an interactive process and different counseling tools are added depending on your needs. One of those tools is ACT, the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I have found especially useful the exercises on commitment and values-based living that ACT provides.
Another one of my favourite approaches is SCM. Through the use of the Self-Confrontation Method, coaching leads to a well directed process of change.
Most often a coaching program can be completed in four to five one-on-one sessions. In all coaching programs trust and confidentiality are key.
